Following her passion for fashion to New York City after graduating from high school, San Diego native Rebecca Minkoff, set off to pursue her dream of being a fashion designer.

Her first 5 piece apparel line launched in 2001, but her sudden rise to fame came only after her "I Love New York" T-shirt was featured on Jay Leno and in US Weekly that same year.

After many years of sewing "I love New York T shirts on the floor of her New York apartment, she transitioned into the design and creation of handbags.

In 2005 the Morning After Bag was born, which launched her playful and subtly edgy, romantically themed day-to-night handbag collection.

After 4 years of consistent growth in the accessories industry, Rebecca Minkoff returned to her fashion roots and introduced a ready-to-wear collection in 2009.

With a fan base of both everyday women and celebrities alike, her designs have been

spotted on stars such as Lauren Conrad, Keira Knightley, Ashley Greene, and Reese Witherspoon. And In 2009, she was honored as a New York Moves Power Women for her entrepreneurial success in the fashion industry.
