Every magazine that I open is talking about Rebecca Minkoff. If you have not had a chance to look at her handbags, here it is! I’m going to introduce you to the designer and show you some of her new product.
Bio(www.rebeccaminkoff.com): Born in San Diego, California, Rebecca’s first love was the art of design and began sewing at the age of 8. Although Rebecca’s handbags have been a hit among the stars and women all around the world, she began designing clothing at the age of 18. She launched her clothing line in 2001, but it wasn’t until her good friend and actress Jenna Elfman asked her to design a handbag for her next movie that the ‘Morning After’ bag was born.
Her clothing line had the details that one would expect in a well made garment and were cut to move over the body with ease. She took these ideas to her handbag collection, wanting to design bags for everyday women that were versatile in color and comfortable in style. Rebecca Minkoff’s handbag collection has been spotted on the arms of such celebrities as Hilary Duff, Bijou Phillips, Sarah Jessica Parker, Nicole Richie, Lindsay Lohan, and Debra Messing to name a few. Now with 3 collections this year, the Rebecca Minkoff brand has made it’s way in to such stores as Searle, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Neiman Marcus, Henri Bendel and Shopbop.com. She is also carried in over 200 boutiques across the country as well as Japan, France, Russia and Canada.
This 26 year old has made her mark in the New York fashion scene as a notable designer and plans to venture back into clothing in the upcoming seasons. |
Hello, my name is Blanca and I am working on something that has to do with Rebecca Minkoff, and was curious if you knew what her mothers name is, and perhaps what the name of her clothing line was that she first came out with? If you could get in contact with me that would be greatly appreciated.
Thankyou, Blanca.
I’m sorry I don’t know! I’ve found a lot of information on her website though so try that: http://www.rebeccaminkoff.com/. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help!
