Journeys with Jewelry
It took me awhile to learn to wear jewelry. Not that I didn’t enjoy it, I just found it to be too much of a hassle to have to keep a variety on hand to cater to each occasion. On top of that, it seemed like the times that I felt the most “naked” without a few sparkling accessories were when I was traveling. And this meant I would have had to plan out and find a proper way to transport my jewelry as well.
For awhile I used a Ziploc bag, but then my bracelets and necklaces ended up looking like a huge spaghetti knot after their journey via the hands of luggage handlers.

When I moved onto one of the little gift boxes necklaces came in I only had room for about three small items… having easy access was nice, but as fate would have it the last piece I took out while packing was always the one I would need…
I have finally found my solution thanks to Rowallan’s Joan Jewelry case.
With its vivid pink color I won’t have to worry about losing it in my luggage or leaving it behind when it’s time to leave. The size is perfect, with enough room to have a nice selection, compartments to keep my pieces organized and is still small enough to stash in my suitcase with ease.
Join the Challenge
If you are traveling to towns in the Rocky Mountains this summer or if you are lucky enough to live there, you can be part of the Reusable Bag Challenge. The Challenge is a competition between 31 mountain towns in the Western U.S. to encourage the use of reusable shopping bags. The Challenge began on March 1 and will run until Sept.1. The prize to the winning town is a solar panel installation on their public school. Before you go, visit Beneterre at http://www.ebags.com/beneterre/brand_search/index.cfm?brandid=11027 to order your eco-chic reusable bags. They are small enough to fit in your purse or suitcase and are perfect for grocery and general shopping while you are there. Visit http://www.ci.vail.co.us/release.asp?r_id=4838&type= to see which towns are participating.
What you won’t find in Corsica
The lush island of Corsica is unlike any other Mediterranean island. Not only is it the most lush of the islands and with its conservation areas and nature reserves which have been given national recognition or registered on Unesco’s world heritage list, it is also the only island on which you will not find plastic bags. The French island of Corsica was the first to ban plastic bags in 1999. Paris followed suit and decided to ban non-biodegradable plastic bags in large stores as of 2007.
It is time for the return of the ever so functional and popular European string bag. It stretches to hold a little or a lot, is very sturdy and tucks away easily for storage between uses. The Beneterre Clam is a European string bag in its own clam pouch. See the great colors at http://www.beneterre.com/eco-reusable-bags.php/shopping-bags/details/clam/

Goodbye Missing Earring, Hello Jewelry Case
So after a year of living with the fact that my pair of earrings will eventually become singular, I finally found an alternative: the jewelry case. Not just any kind of jewelry case, but the one that efficiently fits into your handbag. I first came across this classy Rowallan Annley Jewelry Roll. With its help, I’ve managed to maintain my earrings’ relationships with one another. All without having to lug around an excessively large jewelry case. The jewelry roll is small enough to fit inside my handbag, locker, or desk without taking up too much space.
It’s a definite plus for women like me who are forgetful and always on the run, making it difficult to keep track of their belongings. (Especially belongings as miniscule as an earring.)
eBags Leather Handbag Sale
I’m always hesitant on spending those extra few bucks on a fancy leather handbag, but it seems that now just may be the time to stock up. eBags is having a Leather Handbag Sale with some of their handbags going at up to 50% off.
I came across some pretty fancy stuff, so check it out if you’re a little lacking in the leather handbags area.
What Do You Think? Paris Hilton Handbags
|
I’m sure that we all have our own opinions about Paris Hilton. Some of us may want to be her new “bff” while others may wonder what the world has come to? Well…no matter your opinion of Paris Hilton the socialista/heiress let’s talk about her handbag line. Although there are no stores in the U.S. open as of yet, I’m sure that is in the works for the upcoming year. Check out her designs and a little bit about her brand; then chime in and let us know what you think! |

One Hundred Bags in ONE
While strolling around the streets of Las Vegas mid-day in the blistering heat, I was literally assaulted by thousands of different fashions. Most often, they were fashions involving handbags.
And one of the new fashions I came across was the Miche Bag. Standing at the stall, I heard the sales woman refer to it as literally: “One Hundred Bags in ONE”. Which isn’t too far from the truth.
The Miche bag is actually a simple handbag designed to fit several “shells”. Which means that you can change the style of your basic handbag to fit whatever outfit you’re wearing. Or simply just to fit your mood. I found the concept rather nifty, to say the least.
So if you’re looking for something that allows you to be a little refreshing, you might want to check out Miche. After all, they are referred to as the bag with “endless possibilities”.
