Wish you were on the slopes but stuck in the lodge? That’s
usually me on a ski trip, but I still like to look like a seasoned skier. I’ve found a bag that would be perfect for a trip up to the mountains, or even just for a cold snowy day. Maxx New York has a Silver Quilted Satchel that I love! See ya on the slopes(actually I’ll probably be in the lodge)!
Dakine Moving Into Handbags!
Emerging Designers
This is absolutely my favorite new site for handbags! eBags.com started a new segment to their site called “On The Streets” where they feature emerging designers from around the county. So Cool!!
Not only can I shop the latest trends, but I can also discover the hottest new designers before anyone else. Finally, a website that speaks to me and my fashion needs!
On The Streets also showcases video clips and interviews with the designers. You can actually go behind the scenes and get to know the person behind your handbag. Wow!
Jessica Simpson Handbags!
I know we all know who Jessica Simpson is…..she is the lovely blond who once asked” so is this chicken or tuna?”….and yes it made America laugh and sit in an almost confusing aha….
Jessica Simpson has recently been exploring her fashionable side by successfully launching shoes, accessories, lingerie, perfumes and even handbags…. Personally I love the Jessica Simpson Handbag collection she has recently launched this fall. She has brought a collection filled with the fusion of metallics and neutrals, which leaves these handbags open for many outfits:)
The collection with so much pizazz is the Kane Collection. The Kane Satchel in Pewter or Copper is an excellent choice for this fall season! It’s dark sultry colors are sure to bring out the mystery in you, while embracing some a Jessica’s favorite fall fashions:) The collection also has an over-sized clutch, for those of us that love the over-sized, which is a perfect accessory for a night out.
Jessica Simpson is a star that has risen to great heights in the fashion world…She recently has even been ranked 60th on this year’s Forbes list of the most powerful celebrities….Just another reason to watch what this, all to funny, blond celeb has in store for fashion in the future…..
Top 5 Accessories For A Women To Put In Her Purse
Given the oodles of wallets and accessories available today, you could spend hours wading through them when choosing a gift. For men alone, there are 330 men’s wallets on just eBags. And, as you might guess, a woman gets even more choice. She can pick from more than 500 women’s wallets styles (again, just looking on eBags). Then there are purse accessories — beyond the wallets.
So, how do we wade through the choices? One way is to look at the most popular items. The best sellers. We can also read what others shoppers say about them — the good and the bad.
Looking at best sellers, here are a few little gift ideas for women to give each other, or guys (like me) to give their wives. These purse accessories are eBags’ best sellers — and that’s a BIG DEAL because shoppers on eBags can choose from hundreds of options and dozens of brands (nearly 500 bag designers and brands on the USA site).
#1 CLAVA
Over the past 30 days, this light weight, leather Clava ID | key chain wallet (under $20) is eBags best selling purse accessory. It’s #1 on the shopping list of many women as we head into the holidays. The organizer (a mini-wallet) is full of features as best described by this owner who wrote a reviewed it on eBags: “I am happy overall with this wallet. I like the red color. It was very difficult to find a small, thin, wallet. Great for travel and the airport, when you must show your I.D. a lot.” The see-through ID pocket on the exterior is handy as writer from Seattle pointed out.
#2 KIPLING The second best selling handbag accessory over the past 30 days has been the Kipling creativity cosmetic bag which is available in six colors. A San Francisco who said she uses it for business travel wrote on eBags: “This is a great, sturdy little bag with a nice variety of compartments. I loved it so much that I picked up two more … . I use it for business necessities when traveling (notes, sticky pads, pens, frequent flyer cards); and it doubles as a cosmetic and/or pencil case when I’m carrying a big, slouchy purse back home.”
A woman from Pasadena CA who uses it as her every day wallet wrote: ”Excellent cosmetic bag. Love how the three separate compartments organize my makeup necessities. Well-built and indestructible. So much better than my outrageously expensive Prada cosmetic bag.”
It’s made of a coated crinkle nylon and weighs a measly 8 ounces.
The #3 handbag accessory is another Kipling product. Click here to see the trim zip top toiletry bag.
The #4 and #5 best sellers over the past 30 days have been from Lodis and Whiting and Davis. The Lodis accessory is for carrying credit cards and the Whiting and Davis case is a glittery, metalic cigarette and lighter case combo.

The Winter Purse: a Must Have Item
By Hannah | November 29, 2007 | Filed Under Double Handle Bags, Oversized Handbags, Leather Handbags, Totes, Trend Report
Latico Leathers Hudson Quilted Tote is sure to be a hot item this holiday season.
It’s probably not a suprise to you that I like this purse seeing as how it meets most of the qualifications that I’ve previously laid down. For one it’s big, and I think it could hold most of my stuff. Secondly, I love that it has a classic look, but yet still has that little bit of funkiness. The quilted texture is great for this winter season, and creates the look of a warm winter jacket. Latico Leathers has a track record of producing quality products, and I always have loved the designs that they come up with. Everyone needs a winter purse, I know I’ve said that before, but it’s true. Something that will hold up through the weather changes and all the travel. Well this is my pick, so check it out!

This is a must have handbag for all year long
By jodi | November 28, 2007 | Filed Under Double Handle Bags, Faux Leather Bags, Designer Handbags, Trend Report
If there is one handbag that you buy all year, make it a patent handbag. Patent continues as one of the hottest handbag trends through the rest of this year and far into 2008. You can’t go wrong with a beautiful bag, like this Maxx New York Jazz Top Handle. Not only is it the perfect size bag, it comes in a rainbow of colors that will satisify any handbag lover. You have to have this bag, believe me!
Comfy Bags
People don’t usually think of bags as being “comfy,”
but I do, and I think people should start. Especially now that it’s starting to get colder and closer to the holidays. When I say “comfy,” I am talking about big, maybe slouchy, but definately not stiff or structured. Here’s a good example: Cole Haan’s Village Printed Suede Zip Hobo. This is the epitomy of a comfy purse. Big, soft, slouchy and stylish; what more could you want in a bag?
Chicago based designer Brynn Capella
Brynn Capella is an amazing new designer. All of her limited edition bags are handcrafted in Chicago. She adds a sense of femininity and charm to every silhouette.
One of my favorite designs is her Red Croc Janey bag. This bag not only fits snugly over the shoulder, but can be carried as a sassy clutch for night or day.
